Nimbus Pond, Inc was sub-contracted by Modern Building Company of Chico, CA to construct the fountain that graces the entry of the new Rideout Regional Medical Center in Marysville, CA.
This unique and endearing water feature is comprised of over 48 tons of Quartz Boulder, as well as other stone supplied by Sierra Boulder of Loomis, CA. Not visible to the naked eye, the fountain has a hidden treasure; yep, it is equipped with a subterranean vault that was actually cast on-site during construction!
The fountain was constructed to meet the extremely high standards and building codes required. In a nutshell, we passed every rigorous inspection – no problem!
It’s more than a fountain: This fountain is entitled “Welcome Friends”. The sculpture, commissioned from artist Rosalind Cook, was a gift from Mr. and Mrs. Coburn Haskell in memory of Gerald Alfred Shearin, the beloved father of Mrs. Haskell.
